Cause it's music

Because it is music.

The food for my soul.

Right.. It's been such a long time since I blogged. Well pretty "busy" these days haha. Or I'm just oo lazy or tired to blog. So anyway, I am having band camp for the next three days now! Umm next two I guess, since the first day is over. And my sis had just went back on Saturday. So she'll be back on Sunday, while I'm going back on Sunday! :)

And dang, she accidentally brought my headphone with her :O

You see... This goes how much music means to me in life. Last night I spent quite some time to search for an earpiece! Turned out most of the earpiece in my room are either spoiled, in horrible condition, or cannot be used at all. Thankfully I found one on my sis' table, and it's working fine :) Hmm I may be looking for a cheap ear piece in the coming days...

I can't imagine a music less plane ride on Sunday! :P

Anyway band was alright today. The morning is a bit harsh... Cause I thought band starts at 9, which it actually starts at 10. So I woke up at 7, and... Found out that band started at 10. So I fell asleep again haha, until about 8.45. Breakfast-ed and left for band! I think band is alright, managed to go through some tough parts, and yeah.

Reminded me of SYF days, tiringly-fun :)

I don't know why but there's this thing about Sunday nights. I just, can't, sleep. Sometimes now matter how tired I am, my eyes can't just seem to "poof" and sleep. That's why I ended up sleeping late. But well, I know I'm going to get a good night sleep :)

And I'll be missing band from 1 - 4 cause I have a Nikon Bioimaging Centre study trip! And I totally forgot that it actually clashed with band, until I saw Miss Joanne's email. Anyway I'm glad that I'm selected for it, it will be a good experience I suppose. And it will give me a good insight on a researcher's life. Yum.

Not sure what we'll be doing but... Imaging = microscopes I think. Weee I love microscopes haha, my tiny little cute bacteria! :)

Alrighty I wanna bathe, and... Not sure what I'll be doing tonight heh, start on some of my assignments I suppose? Anyway, see ya!

Cause it's music. It's pure pleasure.

Family photo hah.

Great fun guys, great fun.

Right, today was an awesome day! Went to East Coast Park with Bobby, Syazwan, Michelle, Vivian, Hari and Zaki to cycle around. So well in the first place, I wanted to give this one a miss because there's quite a few people not going. But well still decide to go, and I know I'm not making a mistake. Today was such an awesomly beautiful day. Both for the weather, and what we did.

So met at 11 in Bedok MRT. I thought I was late, so I cabbed down! Turned out I'm the earliest haha. Anyway, went to do some shopping first for our trip, went to buy drinks, snacks etc. Then headed to buy lunch at a nearby hawker centre. Brought all the stuff and headed to ECP. Whew, didn't know going there could be so tiring, the distance and the walking is wow.

Headed for this shelter and we laid our mats, bags etc. Felt so good to lay down on the bench haha, it's such a whew for my leg. Ate lunch and played lots of games. Card games most of the time. I taught them the Indonesian version of a heart attack, AKA Kartu Tepok (or translated as... Hit-the-card-game). Glad they liked it, most of the time people find it boring...

Went cycling then! We stopped in a few places... First stop was this pier-like place. We laid Zaki's mat again and rest there. The view is so... Beautiful. Peaceful. There was a point of time where I just listened to Sigur Ros' Ara Batur, as I listened to the sound of the crashing waves. Blissful I tell you. So well played around there, made some sand painting hehe.

The boys then went to cycle further, we reached Changi! Well not Changi, just the beginning of that long way beside the runway. And we're presenting.... The matreps! Haha. So Syaz, Hari and Bobby went to "pimp" their bicycle into some vroom-vroom producing sound bicycle haha. Very innovative of them. And in fact they bring smiles to people :)

We went on our ways then. Joined Michelle and Vivian home, but I went to Ochard to meet my sis for dinner. Gosh I was so tired then haha. Thanks Zaki for brining us to the bus stop. He walked so far just to bring us there. Seriously, he can become some camp co-ordinator or in charge.. He'll be one super responsible and initiative guy. Oh, by the way, he even planned some things for this outing... Wow! (Claps)

Alright anyway so why freedom?

You know the point of time when we were walking to ECP, through the underpass, then through this road, I just felt this sense of joy and freedom. We were all unsure of where to go, how long more must we walk and etc. But I felt this excitement and joy of being lost. Is like... You're free. I feel so free just to walk in these roads, not knowing where we'll end up at.

And when we were cycling around, the sky was just pure bliss. It's really wonderful, the weather. The breeze of the wind, and the sound of the crashing waves are like the sound of freedom. The wind, going to places whenever it will take them. The water, flowing through time and places they don't know. Isn't it just freedom?

I once read this in Natgeo adventure. In order to find yourself, sometimes you gotta lose yourself. Which is true! And my favourite of all time - Lets get lost!

Alright what a long post today. Pictures will be on Facebook! See ya!

Cause it's freedom. It's joy.

Over! Once more

Ferrero Rocher anyone? :)
Photography by Yours Truly
I wish I have this much of FCs haha

So yay! Finally, the final MST of this year is over hehe. So done, no more studying etc! But oh well, I still have work to do during the holiday. I don't like short holidays, cause my holiday will be taken away by all the work I have to do, oh well, what else can I do, it's poly life I suppose. But nevertheless, holiday is still a holiday and not school! Hee.

But anyway today IO Chem paper was... Alright-ly tough! I can't believe I stared so long just at the MCQ section. Took me about 20 minutes to do them. Whew, then rushed everything. I was only left with like 10 minutes or so to finish my checking. Thankfully, enough time to finish the paper though, I was worried that I couldn't finish the paper.

After the paper went to brief the student volunteers from DBS 1B about the open house training and stuff. Woohoo, I'm selected for it, and... I'm the only guy. Oh yay. But anyway I don't mind hehe, I think it's just a great opportunity. Getting involved in such things. Always fun interacting with people. Who knows I can meet my Tanglin juniors next year :P

So... Watched Harry Potter with some of the 02 and 01 people! While Lizzie and Min Li watched Repunzel (correct spelling?). OMG it's so awesome! But I hate the fact that they cut lots of parts from the book. But anyway I knew it, cause... If they were to follow the book, trust me, the movie will be like 3 hours plus long.

Lunched (or breakfast-ed for me [!!]) at BK in Central before heading to Settler's Cafe. Had lots of fun there during the game, I liked the bone game thingy haha, so fun. So sad we're only able to play two games. But saboteur is also nice, very tricky :P

Decided to go on our own ways, some headed home while Syazwan, Larry, Hari, Zaki and Min Li headed to.. I'm not sure where. Niv and Nic went home, Ahpa and I wanted to go home, but we went to KOI instead hahaha! So well yeah. Went there to buy and we talked a while on the bridge thing in Chinatown, while I took pictures of cars haha.

Met with my sister at Orchard for dinner then, and yeah that's about it I guess.

Oh well another MST come and go, as another term will say hello. And as the holiday approaches, there goes the year of 2010. Time really flies! Well well, as I said once, I really find this semester flying really quickly! Like seriously. It is fast. Hmm hmm, time is really interesting. If there's like a degree in time study, that's pretty interesting.

Alright I guess that's all for today. Guess what. I'm gonna start my holiday... By listing the things I gotta do in my holiday, oh yay. But well as what Ms Solastri always say... If you fail to plan, you plan to fail! Heehee, alrighty, see ya!

I don't care, gonna sleep like a pig!

Mountain out of a grain of sand

Lets look ahead
Photography by Yours Truly
This is by film! :D

Okay let me rant a bit first...

So I really hate it when my mornings are ruined by little matters, made humongous by others! It's like rawr. Okay here goes. I was in the bus, and since it was packed, I shifted more inside by just shifting left. ACCIDENTALLY, my bag rubbed against the fingers of a woman which were holding onto a railing. So I said sorry.... And she...

Stared at me angrily like as if I touched her (no offence) boobs!

I mean this is just little things, I didn't even make her fingers bleed or something like that, the impact is small, I didn't even PUSH my bag onto the railing, it's just my bag rubbing against it. Like as if... It's such a huge matter. Plus I said sorry. I seriously feel Singaporeans should chill out more... Alright unless she just had a bad morning, then I'm find with her angry but still...

I think she shouldn't make it a "WOW" deal you know :/

Anyway today's microbio paper was alright, quite manageable except for some wrong parts here and there, oh well. And I was almost late, I woke up at 9.30, which I'm supposed to wake up at 9. But thankfully the busses came quite early so yeah. And something weird happened... While I fell asleep from 8.45 - 9.30.

I dreamt that I was somewhere in Clementi (huh) and Kai Xuan, Candy, Alexis came to me and told me we're late. So alright, I rushed to pack my stuff and we went to school. The weird thing is that we took a bus that is AWAY from school! And yeah we panicked and stuff. The weird thing is that in the dream, my body seems to tell me that "Hey you're late, wake up!"

And of course I woke up being shocked.

Wanted to stay back in school to study but turned out no one was staying back so well, I went home. Lunched with Syazwan, Liz and Niv first. I am happy hehe, cause I managed to finish doing two of my math papers, which I was feared of not even finishing one cause I'm rather tired and slacky. Oh well dan dan dan hehe.

Alrighty I guess that's all for today. What an interesting today is, anyway like even though my morning was sort of ruined, I'm quite happy with Microbio hehe. Right, Math and Chem tonight I suppose! :)

Argghh Sigur Ros songs are so.... Eternal

Firwork Cover :D

Whew, just finished studying Microbio... Which uhh I still have quite a long way to go so yup. Tomorrow shall be my microbio day! :D

Been reading my notes, and just finished with Mrs Mark's chapter 3. So yep, hope I can cram in everything tomorrow. I don't want Cell Bio history to repeat :(

Anyway as I mentioned last time, here's my Firework by Katy Perry piano cover! I'm not gonna post it here, so I took it off my Youtube. Cause I know it's going to take a long time to load it here. Anyway, enjoy! And comments are always welcomed :)

Enjoy :D

PS: Mind my chin/face :P And this is taken with my Panasonic TZ8 hehe. Not bad huh, the quality

Bittersweet

This is just the beginning.
Lomography by Yours Truly
The beginning, of the beginning
Don't give up!!!

Sigh, today the morning was a bit "disappointing". Not for the things that happened, everything went fine, not when I received my Cell Bio MST results. So well I scored a 72. Alright some of you may feel it's fine to get that, but well, I was hunting for an 80 but oh well. What else can I do. I'll just accept what happened, and move on. No point just crying over a downfall.

I hate the feeling of being disappointed. But well, let this be a bittersweet reminder for me to keep on moving forward. This is just the beginning. Watch out Cell Bio, I'm so gonna pawn you!

Moving on, went to meet Sharon first at Moberly, wanted to have lunch there but our dear Jolene was late... So well we gotta wait for her. So we spent the time waiting studying for a while, Nivedha was there as well, waiting for her friends. And as Jolene arrived, we had lunch together at Moberly's cafe while Nivedha went to call her friend (or attend her friend on her phone). I hope everything went fine for them.

Studied in library from about 2 to about 6, Wei Lun joined us at 4. I'm quite pleased with myself, finished my Chemistry notes (finally) and did a little microbio just now. Whew, when my friends told me they're scared for Microbio, I was "huh? It's alright I thought?". Now, I understand why. There's just so much things! Eeek.

Dinner at "Everything With Fries" with Jo, Pow and Ben, had one hell of a fun time there. Good destresser before MST I suppose. Good food, I tried their char siew rollade, a new item, it's sinfully, lusciously, fattily, GOOD. The fat of the pork is just urrrgghhh... WONDERFUL oops. And the cracking! YUM.

But yes, pretty sinful.

Then we played this eating game thingy, I know we're not supposed to play with food, but oh well. I guess that's what happened if we're stressed with MST. Oh well... So we played open number, and loser has to eat the fries! (Which we didn't finish). So first round was one fries, second 2 fries, third 2 fries; one with "awesome" salmon sauce, last round, 2 fries with salmon sauce heehee.

Thank God I only get... Up to, as worst, the third round. So not so bad I guess.

Oh well it was a seriously good destresser to MST. Time to get serious from today onwards. I'm planning to finish up my microbio notes by tomorrow. I'm left a few more chapters. Or in fact, parts. So yep, I can then spend the weekend cramming the information into my brain.

You know sometimes we hate people who say "I'm gonna fail/do badly/lose my A etc" and get A in the end? But don't you just find it COMFORTING to say that, in case you did badly for your test. It is really demoralising to be hopeful for an A, and all you get is a B. And it is pretty comforting if you tell you're going to do badly, and your really do badly.

It's like... The statement cushion the impact to your downfall. I know it's really stupid to say such things, but seriously, it's better to do that. I was so hopeful that I could get an A. And here I am, not even a B+. I know you guys may find me selfish, and arrogant or maybe boastful. But if you don't reach your target, don't you just feel the pain.

It's in the psychological mind of us, humans, to always prepare for the worst.

Sigh, yes I'm still a bit sad about my result. But there's no reason for crying over spilt milk. I know I'll be able to pull this through. I know I have the ability to do well. To do better than this. I'm sure I can. And so do the rest, who did not get the result of their target. Don't worry, lets pull through all these together and emerge at the top in the future.

A bittersweet reminder. A bittersweet reminder.

Firework

Cause baby you're a firework
Photography by Yours Truly
Come and let your colours burst

Whew, such a long time since I posted again! Well... Due to some unforeseen circumstances, I was, sadly, not able to blog. And if I were to explain them here, this post will be like super long. Cause quite a few things that happened this week hehe. Anyway lets just talk about today eh.

Today I had my cell bio MST! Umm well okay... "calming down"....

ARGGGH I HATE MYSELF!

Okay here's what happened. So there's this question which I don't know the answer to. So what I did is to skip the question and decided to check the rest of the paper, more important I feel. So there I went check check check, and I stupidly told myself "Hmm no point checking for a gazillion of times, lets just pass up". And I passed it up, leaving that question blank!

Oh gosh... I was so pissed... I know it's only a question, but what if (CHOY) I get 78, and due to that question, I lost my A! If I were to just fill it up with any answer, and I got it right (out of 0,25% probability) I may get my A right... Oh well it's over now, no point bitching over it, it's over, it's over :/

After the test went to lunch together, and yeah the day goes on as per normal. It's so nice of Ms Yulia to make us that answer sheet by herself. She wrote it herself (not typed!). Aww man I feel so guilty, she spent so much time doing things for us, and I always come late, come to think of it. Oh well oh well, thank you Ms Yulia anyway! :)

I didn't feel like studying just now, cause well I am using that "it's after cell bio" reason so yeah, spent most of my time either in Facebook or Youtube. Searching for Sigur ros songs! I'm seriously in love with their songs... They are so lovely man. So peaceful. I want to play them in my funeral, perfect "theme song" of my life haha.

And talking about songs... I just did a cover on Katy Perry's firework! (Thus the title). Gonna upload em here, after I put them in my comp. I'm sort of lazy to transfer it now so... Too bad. I wanted to do a mashup on firework and king of anything but well umm I think it's really a bit weird so decided to just do a cover on firework hehe.

Alright that's all for today I guess, I'm going to do IOC tonight, the rest of the tutorial. Studying with Pow, Jojo and Wei lun tomorrow! So yup, shan't do much studyings tonight right hehe. Alrighty see ya!

Funny how some songs are singing about your life.
