Hope

Whew! My Mongolian CIP interview is over... Finally, I can heave a sigh of relief.... Not yet. Till the result comes out I suppose. But oh well I pulled it off I guess. I just gave my best shot, speak what I have to speak, right from the bottom of my heart. And now I'm feeling both relieved and anxious. Releieved for the interview is over, anxious for the result.

Yes I want this like really really want this. But oh well I'm not the interviewer so how would I know how well I did. And well... Let's just hope for the best! Hmm? :)

Today sort of reminds me of my DPA interview. Like how much I feel relieved after the interview and then anxious after that. Cause of the result. And well thankfully I got selected, so does Candy (she got interviewed together with me too). Haha so well yeah, I'll just hope for the best I guess. It's not good to worry too much, or be too confident either :)

Today was an ordinary Wednesday I suppose. Somehow I feel that time flies really quickly today. Like as if a day just went pass so quickly. And I love the fact that we, Biomed research students, have our own "room" at T11A haha. So it was good spending the waiting-for-my-interview time doing some work.

After going for my interview, we (Candy, Kai and Johnathan) stayed back a while in spectrum. Kai left for her diving and then the rest of us went off as well. I went to Clementi first to print some photos. And I was in the middle of this heated argument of a customer and the shop owner. I was feeling a bit err and hmm and I feel like calming the both parties down. But I don't want cause... I don't wanna be carried inside the argument.

But oh well I hate seeing arguments between customers and shop owners. I'm sure there's OTHER DIFFERENT and GOOD way of solving things rather than using anger right? But sorry, this time round, I believe the customer is on the right side. I really love his "rebuttals" against the shop owner heh.

And... I received a call from the shop and the aunty was like

"Hello this is the photo shop, anyone print photos today?"

Me : "Yeah, it's me, is it ready for collection?"

"Yeah, ask him (I told her it's me -.-) to take the photos"

"Yes I'll take it tomorrow"

"Yeah just ask him to take, it's ready for collection!!"

"Yes I know I'm collecting tomorrow...!"

-Hangs up phone-

Seriously...?

Oh well, I'll just be patient I suppose... No point getting angry with her. I just really hope she can change her attitude... And her mindset! I know it's pretty hard working in a harsh environment where orders can pile up like crazy. But that doesn't give the reason that one should show tantrum to others. Especially at work. I guess stress/anger-management is really important huh.

Alright I guess that's all for today! Shall continue studying for tonight... And studying early tomorrow morning I guess. Sigh, I think I've procrastinated enough seriously. Time to get my ass up and do work~ See you :)

Hope for the future, shout it don't whisper - Beautiful Seed, Corrinne May

Hot like a G6

Okay the hot weather has probably killed lots of brain cells of mine... Thus the title. But anyway, yeah, these few days have been HOT. Like I mean seriously freaking hot like a G6. But thankfully it rained this morning :D I was so happy to see dark clouds in the sky this morning. And when it rained as I reached school today, I simply rejoiced mwahaha.

Anyway it's a pretty long day today. With two practicals, 2 hour Biochem lecture, one hour OCRM. And of all that, one hour break. And after the last lecture, went straight to band! Whew, only had like a packet of soy milk before band. But now I've indulged in... Macdonald :P Oh well, it's okay to treat yourself once in a while no?

Band was alright today. But the weather is so urgh. HOT. So yeah hot weather + sectional not such a perfect combination eh. But I feel happy for I think that I've done quite a lot today, especially with that killer piece called CELEBRATION. Haha. It's by Phillip Sparke, and I once saw this video in Youtube of Seika Girls in Japan playing The music of the sphere by him.

And one guy commented: It's Phillip Sparke, what can you expect or something like that hahaha.

It's a killer piece, but... Lets do it!

Anyway I guess that's all for today... Oh!!

I'll be having my Mongolian OCIP interview tomorrow! Oh gosh oh gosh, wish I can pull it off well and be selected for the trip :D I've been waiting for tomorrow to come cause I wanna end the interview ASAP. As I told you I've been feeling pretty excited about the trip, even though I have not been interviewed yet so... Tomorrow is the day I guess! :D

Really hope I can pull this through and be selected for the trip :D

Alright that's all for today! See you people :)

Hot hot weather. Hope to feel some chilly weather soon...

Sunny Sunday

Reflection of the sunset on my window. Like wings across the horizon.

Today (and yesterday) was a... Really really HOT day. Gosshh. I remembered I went into the toilet yesterday, just to pee, and it's like some roasting oven inside! And today the similar happened. But oh well thankfully it's sunny and dry. If it's sunny and humid. We can all be "boiled" inside the weather already seriously -.-

But anyway yesterday was a great day I guess. It's a sunny Saturday and I met Debra and Shawn in SP. They are having an assignment about interviewing a foreigner (AKA me) so yep. It's really fun I guess (except for the part where we'll have to walk around to find a quiet space and everything is closed due to polling day).

And Shawn's questions were so... Wow hahaha. From lady gaga to photography to school work! Haha. But nevertheless I had fun :) Glad to work with you both.

Today is my sister's birthday so happy birthday sis! And we also gave her a surprise last night. I gave her an iPod touch. Yes it maybe a pretty expensive gift but the reason why I bought her that is because she bought me my iPod touch 2 years ago. And since she'll be returning to Indo this month, I wanna get her that as well. So yep.

And since the sky was awesome today, I've decided to go for a run too! I wanted to try running a new route. So today I ran in a new route which is from my condo to Holland V and back again. Ran about... 4 KM, roughly. And I took 29 minutes! Is that slow? Okay I don't know but... For me time doesn't matter. I run for the sake of enjoying running. Not for "oh I run faster than you" kind of thing. Or "oh I can run this distance in this time".

Just run! :)

And for dinner I cooked....

Tadah! It's pan-fried chipolata sausages with tomatoes and garlic. Oh yum. This is what's my term of comfort food I guess. Not only it's good to eat, gives you warmth, but easy to cook as well! Just dump the whole thing in... Just kidding. I pan-fried the sausages first, then take em out, then tomatoes and garlic, then put them back in :)

So I guess that's all for this hot and sunny weekend. I wanna do my work hehe. Plus do some other stuff. Felt really happy for I studied on the weekend, which I usually don't heh. But oh well, I have to keep this up! Alright see ya :D

Hot Sunday, but the blue sky is still, and will always be loved.

Blank

T11B :)

Blank, empty, headache, restless, light-headed. These are the few words I can use to describe how I'm feeling today. Not sure why, but I've not been feeling well today. It just feels as if... I don't know. Empty, blank and restless. Plus I was having headaches too... That's the reason why I didn't go for band today...

Anyway today was great, had our first "official" Funana lesson with Dr Lee. Really cool lecturer, funny and friendly :D Next was OCRM as usual. Well I can't deny it but well Thursday is really a Chemistry day! Heh. It's pretty Chemistr-ey but well alright I guess. I'm very happy that we share OCRM class with the DBS 2....1? 22? 23? Oh dear I forgot. But well, my DBS 1A02 people! It feels as if we're not separated, even though yes we are.

So had lunch together under T11A, and well... It just feels as if it was those days we used to have last year. Especially on Tuesdays where we'll have lunch there after Microbio, then go for Ms Khoo's class. Sigh, and now we're all in year 2. But I'm still glad with the fact that we're still together so it doesn't feel that we're separated eh.

Even after the 2nd lesson of OCRM, we still hang out together under T11A, waiting for our respective practical classes. But urgh, that's when I start to feel unwell. Headaches kicking in, and that "empty" feeling, I'm not sure why. But well I still went for practical, and we (Syazwani and I) were the last group to finish. But no worries! Speed isn't important, at least we finished it before 6 huh.

I've decided not to come for band, cause I don't know whether my condition will worsen or not. I rest a while just now after reaching home. Feel much better now :) Hopefully I won't be feeling unwell again tomorrow... Cause yeah. It just sucks, the feeling, you know.

Anyway I wanna talk about something.

For no reason... I was feeling so excited about the Mongolian OCIP trip in September. And I haven't even went for the interview (which I really really really hope I can get in man!). But well I don't know. I guess I'm the kind of person who really can't contain excitement properly heh. Especially to events/things which I am REALLY looking forward into, or I just LOVE.

Example? Hair for Hope 2010. I saw the email and I just felt excited for no reason. And till the day of my shave arrives, then I feel "relieved" in a sense heh. Next, my HK trip. It's the reason why I felt so "stressed" on the few last days of the exams just because I can't wait for it to arrive. Last but not least, my Sweden trip. After getting my Schengen visa, that's when I feel so whewww and just wished my SA1 (back then) could end ASAP.

Same goes for some upcoming events this year. I'm not sure why but yeah. I just feel so excited and can't wait for these events to finally happen. Is it because of pure excitement or joy? Or is there something behind it. Well for me, there's something behind them hehe. But yeah, I just can't wait! Hahaha.

Oh and one more thing, I really hope that my friends can get through the interviews as well. I think OCIP with friends = great, awesome, unforgettable, amazing fun! So yup, I really hope that all of us can get through the interview and go for the OCIP together! :D

Alright I guess that's all for today. See you!

Cause nothing beats the joy, of doing something good.

Music is for everyone

Right! Let me just make this a quick bloggy since I wanna do my work. Oh gosh I hate myself for procrastinating damn it. Okay okay. Anyway... Today was a great day cause it's an.... Odd-week! Tuesday! Gotta get to wake up late! (Sing according to "Friday" -.-) but yeah it's odd-week Tuesday so my class starts at 3~ Awesome or what.

Biochem was... Hmm okay. As usual need more reading but manageable. I'm really intrigued by those like glycolysis pathway. Can't believe those 10 steps are occurring inside me right now, and in your body 2 seconds ago, and yeah. Awesome human body :P

Today was the first time the freshies-band-its come for the practice! OMG man I can't believe there's like 15 clarinettists! How are we going to fit them AND the main band together inside our room. And there's like 12 trumpeters and more. Holy! The band room is just going to explode seriously. But I think it'll be awesome playing in a huge band, non?

But anyway, An Chun was telling the year ones why there's no audition in SP band. Cause Mr Leonard Tan, SPSB's previous conductor believes that music is for everyone. And I can't help it but to nod to that statement. Yes, music is definitely for everyone.

You might feel that everyone is not made for music. But actually music is for everyone. There's no denying to that :)

Alright that's all for today! See ya all soon :D

Yesh! Signed up for it already :D :D

Editorial and Red-dy outing! :D

Food we bought :D

Right! I had so much fun today at Sentosa with my lovely editorial team and Red-dy! It was really a fun day, great way to celebrate this extra day of holiday! :D

Anyway we met at Vivo at 1030, but lots of people we late :P Then headed to Giant to shop for tidbits! And drinks and so on, and we da bao-ed food from banquet as well to eat at Sentosa. Thankfully Fauzi could make it today! So it's really nice to "complete" the editorial team, even though some people were not able to make it.

We headed for Siloso beach. And damn it was drizzling lightly. But anyway we started the game with Frisbee monkey! It's really funny how I tricked so many people, pretending to be a player while I was a monkey :P After that we played volleyball, another fun game! We were just saying continue continue! Even though the ball was out :P

And we also added variations like we have to say a food when we hit the ball. Fron Nasi Ayan to spaghetti, to bimbimbap to prata and lots of things. It was just really funny to see the reactions of people (especially Jolene :P) when the ball was coming towards them! And today wasn't a good ball day for me, my face got hit for so many times! Haha, and Jolene almost hit my little brother :P Thankfully the ball she kicked hit my stomach heh.

Next we played ta...boleng? Taboleng haha. It's Kai Xuan's game. It's a game of run-and-chase and it's so awesome! My group was playing against a group where Miss Joanne was the captain. And since I was the captain, it was so funny to see her reaction! We were distracting her by asking pharmacology questions hehe. She's such a great lecturer, taking her time to join a day with us! :D Thanks Miss Joanne for coming!

After taboleng we decided to just sit down and lepak. Played truth or truth heh. The questions were really really absurd and funny. And then we played frisbee monkey again, this time round more people. And teehee, I tricked many more people! Woohoo. It's so awesome tricking them. And we were "bullying" Rahman by asking the monkeys to catch his balls/frisbee haha.

While some of us left, the rest headed for Vivo and we had dinner there. Sadly time wasn't much left so we just stayed for a while and we went home. But nevertheless, I had great fun today! :D Thank you so much to my editorial team and Red-dy for making this public holiday an awesome one :D And great, now I feel lazy to go to school, but say yes to school-starting-at-3 tomorrow!

Alright I gotta bathe, then do my work. Left with some tutorial which I have to do, and hopefully able to finish by tonight so that I can study in tomorrow's afternoon. And I'm feeling rather tired now so hoping to get a great sleep tonight! See ya :D

The sun, the sand and the sea. Never fail to give me fun

Happy SIX HUNDREDTH POST :D

First of all, to my dear blog, life-symphony.blogger....

HAPPY 600th POST! :D

Thank you so much for bearing with me, as usual! I'm glad to have a blog like you where I can just let my emotions flow into this simple page. And words will just start running like water. Emotions just flow like the river. And joy just fill my heart up. Thank you so much for being something when someone isn't around :D

Anyway since it's the 600th post, lets mark it with something special!

I just gave my table a "make over". Well not a make over like those in TV but I just placed a cool photo frame that holds 9 photos (taken by me). So it sort of give colour and "life" to my already-messy table. And actually, these 9 pictures tell me something. They act as a reminder for me to do something, always, everyday :) Here's the picture!

The 2nd picture on the 1st row - the piano.
This picture reminds me of my never-ending passion, love, and dream for music. Even though this photo was taken in black and white, the piano, is one black and white instrument that produces colourful music only the ear could see. Music is always there when I feel sad, I feel happy, I feel lonely. That's why, it's my life :)

The 1st picture on the 2nd row - some feathery plant.
The plant, with its soft feather-like feature, was swaying gently in the wind. This photo is a reminder for me, that whenever I have a bad day, I'll just let the wind carry away all the worries of yesterday. Get on with it, be positive, solve the problem, and move on! :)

The 2nd picture on the 2nd row - my dog.
I took this photo of my dog, in sort of a random moment. Little did I know I took a nice photo of him with that innocent and cute look. This photo is a reminder for me to always smile. To be happy, and live a positive life. This dog of mine is the fattest and biggest one. But actually, he's one timid dog, and cute one as well. And "many things" happened to him (which is hard to explain). But I love how he never fails to make me smile, with his "Awww" face.

The 3rd picture on the 2nd row - my other dog pondering over a green field.
This photo is a reminder for me, to always live curious. Never stop wandering about this wonderful life. To never stop searching for the answer to the questions of life. Life is such a wonderful journey filled with mystery, so one should never stop questioning about this! And with the fact that I'm a Biomed Research student, being curious is sort of a must thing to do :)

The 2nd picture on the 3rd row - reflection of a puddle of water.
Reflection. Just like a mirror, this puddle of water reflects me when I stand on top of it. It's a reminder for me, to always look into a mirror before I criticise others. And as Michael Jackson's famous "Man in the mirror" says: I'm starting with the man in the mirror. I'm asking him to change his ways. If you want to make the world a better place, take a look at yourself to make that change :D

The 3rd picture of 1st row, 1st and 3rd picture of 3rd row - photos of sunsets.
As you all know, I love sunsets. And these three pictures show my love for sunsets. Sunsets are beautiful scenes that end the day, and tell us that another one is coming. It's a wonderful scene that ends a day, and reminds me to always keep smiling for tomorrow :)

As for 1st picture 1st row, it's just a random photo :P

So yeah, these are how these 9 photos act as a reminder for me, to do all of the above things everyday. This is why I love photography. Not only taking photos freezes a moment of time which one will never retrieve back, the photos created can also tell stories, or even teach us lessons about life. It can brings memories, or serve as a reminder for us :)

And those little cute diamonds at the bottom are the "gems" some people gave me during the FLP camp. They also serve me as a reminder of my strengths, my weakness, and how I grow from them. They also remind me of how each individual is a unique gem in this world.

Alright what a long post! Gonna head to bed early cause I'm meeting my lovely editorial and RED-dy team tomorrow! See you :D

Ahhh... Life, what a wonderful symphony it is.
