Hair for Hope!

I'm looking forward for Hair for Hope
Photography by Yours Truly
Cause I hope my act can give those children a hope.

Okay reading today's post may make you think that I'm some numb nuts. But... Seriously. It's a bit but...

I WANT TO JOIN HAIR FOR HOPE 2010!

If you don't know what's Hair For Hope (HfH), it is an event where people voluntarily shave their heads to show support for children with cancer! Yes I really don't mind doing such thing. I think it is really a meaningful event. Not only that I'm showing support, I also want to "dedicate" my shave to my grandmother, grandpa, aunt and uncle and one of my best friend's dad.

Because they have died of cancer.

So I am really really really interested and excited to join the event! Okay the bad thing is that they told me there's a limit to walk in shavee, which is 300 placings. And I emailed the person and she told me that I have to come early at like about 11 am to get a high chance of getting shaved. So I'm so going on 25th July to get my hair shaved! Oh yeah~

And okay here is the sort of numb nutting part. I felt like joining this just last night. I have this sudden urge (I don't know why) to join the event (wait the answer is on top). So I was soooo excited to join this event that I could not sleep last night! That was shocking isn't it.

Anyway I'm really really hoping to get a slot in the event so I'm going to head to vivo early on that day :P

Today was alright, school was a bit retarded cause there's only one hour of lesson and we are free -.-" but I stayed a while with Candy, WP and Bobby to do ONOW so less work to do tonight! I went home while they stayed longer, cause I had band just now at 6.30 while I end school at 9.

Band was fun too! Today was sectional day and I enjoyed it a lot. Got the time to interact more with my fellow clarinettist and we talked and chatted too. But I felt it was a fruitful sectional, Vanessa taught a great way to play running chromatics.

Alright that's all for today! Still have work to do. I wanna do my work now. See ya and again, I really hope to get into the event! :D

HfH! I'm coming! :D

New beginning?

Cathedral and City Hall (Forgot the name ><)
Photography by Yours Truly.
Thinking of setting up a photo-blog :P

Voila! Surprised with my blog template? Yes I have used the blog template designer thingy. I think it really helps a lot. I don't have to trouble myself to look for skins once in a while. Now I can change my skin anytime I want, according to what I feel and what I want!

Blogger, you're so awesome :)

Anyway if you also realised the tagboard is gone, so thus your links. Here's the deal.

Firstly, I have this feeling of wanting to be a serious blogger. I'll be blogging about life, my day and whatever I will post. I don't mean that I wanna be those famous blogger cause that's just impossible. My blog is too plain boring!

And which brings me to my next point - boring. I feel that my blog is not worth to be read by some of you cause it may be too boring. Well just imagine like going to my blog reading all about my life. It is boring isn't it? I'm not a great blogger after all.

So... Which brings me to another point. I don't mind with me linking you. But if you wanna be linked just post a message or something like that and I will link you! I still keep your links by the way. So yup.

Not that I'm trying to show some "attitude" or some "funny acts" by removing your links, nope. Don't worry. I hope you all will understand :)

So yeah if you wanna be linked comment on this post by stating your name and I'll link you! If you never been linked before tell me you link as well. Cheers yeah :)

Cause blogging is one of my hobby.

First day

Rebirth. Time for a new term to start!
Photography by Yours Truly
Love this shot! Thus called it rebirth.

Well today was the first day of the new term! Um... Exciting maybe I'm not sure. But I sure hope I have a great, smooth and wonderful term ahead!

Anyway yesterday my flight was alright I suppose. It was kind of delaying though. I remember spending like about 20 - 30 minutes moving around the aiport before the plane touched off. Don't know what happened but yeah. The flight was okay though. The plane was really full though.

Today was alright I suppose. We have a new Math teacher that replaces Mrs Pearly. He's Mr Francis Cheng (correct spelling I suppose). He's what I called a "straightforward" teacher. I really miss Mrs Pearly's bubbliness in class.

Got our Immunology result. I got 36/45. Not what I expected but oh well, an A is good enough. Need to work harder next time! And Miss Joanne reminded us about having constant work throughout (that is not just excelling in tests and exams). So hopefully that will happen as well.

Went for the usual French Class. Got 73 or 74 for my test. Woohoo. And I'm sort of looking forward for the performance thingy. Got a nice French song to share with the class next week. It's Le Manege by Stanislas! Awesome song, awesome singer.

Wanted to skip band cause I was feeling tired. But halfway through the day I decided to go cause I felt alright and I think it's good to come and practise!!! Concert is about one month and a few days so time to buck up! I love the new song we played. Hitaka... By m favourite composer Satoshi Yagisawa :D

Alrighty that's all for today. Math Excel lab test tomorrow. Oh dear hopefully won't screw things up. See ya!

Cause we take a ride.

Back again

Sigh, today is my last day here in Indo for this holiday. Well the 1.5 weeks spent here was alright I guess. Not as boring as I would have imagines. Perhaps thanks to the fact that my sisters are here. Cause usually they are not (they use to be in Singapore when I'm here last time)

Anyway umm today... There was an EARTHQUAKE!

I went shopping with my sis and my maid today. As we wanted to go home... Suddenly the ground shook a bit (I felt it) and then I heard this rattling sound. A millisecond after that I heard people running out. Oh my God, what I thought was really what I thought.

It was quite an interestingly-freakish experience. Imagine the whole people in the mall like just ran out suddenly with panic. It can be scary right. And so we ran out and yeah, everyone panicked and they waited outside, while we went home.

I wanted to eat dinner outisde but ended up not cause yeah looks like everyone was busy so yeah. Anyway there's still next time right hoho.

Well I find this holiday a bit less "crowded", perhaps with the fact that this time round, my cousins aunts etc did not come to my hometown like what they usually do during my holidays. Well anyway it's because I spent a short time here. It's 1.5 weeks, not the usual one month.

And also I feel sad that I didn't get to try my favourite restaurants hehe. Oh well it's quite impossible to visit all these nice restaurants in just 1.5 weeks. And with the addition that not all of my relatives are here so not many to accompany us right.

And I realised this is my first "short" holiday after a long time. When I was in primary school I used to go back during those one week holidays. When it comes to secondary school I didn't go due to the activities I had. But now I have no activities so I go back haha.

Alrighty I guess that's all for today. I'll be flying back to Singapore tomorrow so yeah. Both excited and not so excited to go back. Excited for results (hopefully it's good) not excited to realise I'm back to life (with reports and stuff). Well life is nothing when one don't think positively so I love life woohoo! Hahaha

You can't expect people to be who you want them to be.
PS: Thanks to the cold weather I feel so tired and moody. Bah

Reunion

Well I'm just back from the little reunion I had with my primary school friends! Well not just back, been back quite a while ago. Well it was fun I suppose, seeing them again. And they are all so different from what they used to be like eight years ago.

Some grow taller and thinner. Some grow big size haha. Some changed only a little, others a lot. Nevertheless I really love to see them again. Been such a long time isn't it? Eight years is freaking long I know haha.

Anyway we met at the McDonald in my town. Walked to another mall, then to a hangout place but since it was full so we decided to go to one of my friend's house. Well I kind of love the fact that we walked along roads and stuff. It was pretty fun and thrilling.

Did lots of catching up too. Talked to most of them and they are all now going to university. How nice, I'm stuck in poly haha. But they are amazed with the fact that in Singapore, once can go to poly after secondary school cause here, we gotta go to "JC" first to go either uni or poly.

And well yeah that's all for the outing. After that we went off to our homes.

Anyway I kind of felt. Somehow. Awkward during the outing. I guess it must have been the fact that it's been a long long long time since we met. So I go my own ways, they go their own ways. So we are somehow "different". But anyway who cares. I just love the fact that we met up today :)

Righty, that's all for today. Really love today despite that tinge of awkwardness. I hope we can meet up more often. See ya all peeps

And also the fact that we're of different cultures

Tuesday 22 June 2010

Shopping

Been a long time since I blogged eh. Well comparing the amount of free time I have during holidays, nto blogging for two days somehow seems pretty long isn't it? Anyway been busy either with my report or simply... Lazy to blog haha "throw face"

Anyway these days been pretty alright. Let me see Monday went to eat out with my sis at my favourite porridge shop. And then at night went to eat out with my cousins and my sis and her friend!

And I love this cousins outing thingy. Been such a long time since we went out together. Well can't blame either cause we have all moved on to our own ways right? So yeah. But anyway loved the outing last night cause I went to... Take pictures! Thanks a lot Facebook for not allowing me to to upload them.

As for today... Went to cut my hair and love it heh. A bit too short but I love short hair right. And then my sis went to do creambath as well hehe. And after cutting our hair? We...

Went to shop!

We went to this place called Brasco. It's a place that is one hour drive from my hometown and it's freaking cold there haha, even colder than my hometown. Anyway we ate dinner there and we also went to shop! (Well the restaurant we ate is beside the shopping place)

Quite satisfied with the shopping. Bought 4 clothes and one long pants. Wanted to look for a short pants but failed heh. The design is a bit weird so decided not to buy any. But well the shirts I bought are nevertheless nice hehe.

Oh, and I took some awesome shots too today!

Anyway that's all for today. Tomorrow's gonna be exciting cause I'm going for a reunion with my primary school friends back here! Oh well I really miss them and miss those primary school days. Wonder hwo my friends will look or change haha. Seems like yesterday when I saw them in school. I wonder hwo they are now...

I guess this is the cons of being a foreign student. Since young.

Garden

Today was another awesome day hehe. I went to that plot of land that my father bought for gardening thingy. Since I went there at night on Monday, I could not get to see much things right so today was an eye opener to me. I really love it there.

The place there was quiet and peaceful. There was not a lot of cars present. It is located somewhere like in the countryside. You have to go to like some far places to go inside it so of course there was not much traffic right.

Imagine yourself in some place. Quiet, peaceful with the wind blowing against your face. The sky was a bit blue too. I wanted the sky to be like extremely blue... But there was just patches of blue sky. Nevermind, I took some nice shots today anyway.

You know what... I really don't mind living that lifestyle. Gardening... Doing interactions with the locals... Getting and tasting my fruit of labour... It's really awesome eh, as compared to that. Yeah, to that.

Anyway my sister is coming back here tomorrow and I'm going to follow my mum to fetch her. Cause after that we're eating Bumbu Den which I really love hohoho. And anyway just wanna accompany my mum. She always went to fetch me alone so maybe yeah it's good for me to repay her kindness hehe.

Alright that's all for today. Hope the days are getting better and better. I have a feeling it will though cause we already have plans of where to go when my sister is here. And I'm still wondering and anticipating of the trips that is currently on-going... My cousins wanna go to the beach but my aunt is afraid of the tall waves so yeah. Anyway, lets hope it's gonna be confirmed!

I miss my childhood days. The days I have so much more freedom.
PS: Blogger is screwed. Can't upload pictures so no picture today! :P

Freeze

Shot of my hometown
Lomography by Yours Truly
Hope can do it more often hehe

Firstly, it is freking cold out here haha. Well just like Singapore it's been raining here everyday so far. And it rained in the evening so at night, it gets pretty cold out here. Well sometimes I wish Singapore can bet his cold like everyday. Then I don't need aircon anymore haha.

Anyway today was a great day. It's my mum's birthday! So happy birthday mum hehe. And I also went out with my cousins. We were supposed to go photography hunting but thanks to the rain we didn't get much. So at the most we went to eat at this place where they sell round tofu balls. It's super delicious. Imgine a round tofu hehe.

I'm also pissed... Becuase I went to develop pictures in my lomo and you know what? The guy didn't develop ALL of the pictures. And those not developed are nice pictures. So what the heck right. Thank God I asked for a CD so I can see all the pictures.

And the worst part is that the guy has a lack of skill in developing pictures. How can I get double exposures when I don't even do that. And some pics were not cropped perfectly as well. I'm feeling really unhappy... Thought the pictures will turn out great but yeah.

But anyway some of the pictures turned out really nice so yeah. I'll be uploading it on facebook. And I can't wait to take really really nice shots of my hometown. Hopefully I can go out again with my cousin, just walk around my town to take shots of people.

Last night I went out with my father to this place. He bought a plot of land near the mountain. And he wanan start a gardening business! Awesome or what. The place is nice too, and again I can't wait to go there and perhaps take some nice shots.

Alrighty that's all for today. Hope my holiday will get better and better just like today. More things to do yeah! See ya

I don't know why I felt that tinge of awkwardness just now

Thursday 17 June 2010

Back at home

Hello peeps! I'm back at my hometown now. Very very cold here. Was welcomed by my three dogs and they are super cute! One climbed onto me and he's the heaviest one. Goshh.

Anyway the flight and everything was alright. Got to take some nice pictures as I got the window seat. Pictures uploading soon.

Met my sis and we had dinner with my bro and one of my maid. Very very delicious dinner yeah...

Anyway just a short post to update. I wanna rest now. See ya!

I pray and I hope and I wish for a great holiday :)

Reunion

Need a great long break. And I can sense its presence.
Photography by Yours Truly
Japan? Nope, Chinese Garden haha!

Woohoo, I love today haha. It's a great day cause I went out with some of my secondary school friends! It's like a reunion so I love it. Plus, the weather was awesome too. What else can we get. Great weather, great company. What a bliss.

Anyway met Tacy and Sharon (or also known as my studying group, cause we used to go out and study together before Os) at IMM. We went there and TALKED a lot. Like seriously a lot haha. Sharing our experiences, our lives (now that we're in poly and JC) and we had lots of fun. Took tons of pictures with my lomo too.

It's been such a long time since we meet up again. I remembered those days where we would meet at Jurong Library to study together. Doing TYS, doing worksheets and exam papers. And now we meet again at Jurong, in IMM. What a co-incidence huh.

After having lunch with them, headed to West Coast Park to meet Adeline, Jeslyn, Wei Qi, Chew Huan and Meng Fung. Met Neal halfway to look for film first haha. Thank god I bought another film cause...

The weather was awesome~

Played kites there, first time flying kites. It's quite a lovely experience and it's been a long time since I fly kites haha. There was a man who taught me how to fly it properly too. and judging from the way he taught me, he's a pro. Thanks stranger man! Haha

Played at the playground a while. It was so funny haha, listening to MF screaming so loudly! And after that we went to Sumo for dinner. Yum yum. And then home sweet home.

Well I'll be flying off tomorrow for my holiday and be back next next Sunday. Yup that's before school reopens. Hopefully my holiday this time will even be a more fruitful one! And somehow somewhat I have the feeling that it will be. Cause my girlfriend is going home with me mwahaha. Time to take more pictures.

Alright gotta pack tonight and I'm feeling really tired so wanna sleep early. See ya all and have a great holiday! :D

Passing by my secondary school today. And a flood of memory rushed in.

Sweden, oh Sweden

Shot taken at Norway
Photography by my sister
I wish I could feel freedom everyday.

Exactly 365 days ago, I was in Sweden enjoying its summer. Its cold wind blowing over my face. It's rain showering my body with its droplets as cold as ice. I was in Sweden with my sister. In Professorslingan. The place where I stayed.

And I miss it sooooo much.

I really really miss it.

Last year felt like yesterday. I could still remember those days, where I was so stressed when settling with my Schengen Visa. Those days where I would come back to United Square just to complete my visa application.

Then come that day, where I received my Visa on my passport. It was one of the happiest day of my life. I went straight to book my flight and just get so excited to go to Sweden!

And finally that day, 11th June, was the day where I went to Sweden, on my own. I could still remember how lost I was in Thailand for a transit. And how happy I was in my flight, even though I was deprived from sleep and it was a night flight.

And as I arrived... I was the happiest man on Earth. Finaly I arrived in a country out of Southeast Asia. I met my sister and she took me to a train ride to her place. I could still remember the route and everything. The look of the train, the majestic T-Centrallen.

Norway was next. I couldn't wait for it either. I remember how early we left house for Norway. With only my Crumpler and my sis' backpack we headed for the airport. Norway is a beautiful country. Its fjords are breathtaking. Its view are amazing. Everything was nice.

I remember the mid-summer festival where we went to Vaxholm, The small islan on the Swedish archipelaego. How sunny it was, and how crowded it was. Where it suddenly rained a hailstorm and we were there laughing and mystified by our first hailstorm.

And that's when I lost my sweater.

And the day I hated finally came. The day I have to return back to Singapore. It was really a sad thing to do. I remember having no appetite at all during lunch. I could not finish my lunch and it was really sad. The feeling. The one week I had was never enough. And I know.

I am always hungry for more.

It's been a year since I went to Sweden and Norway. It's been 365 days since I missed its splendour and grandeur. It's been a year since I've been to (so far) the most beautiful country I have ever visited. And I know, and I promise that I would return again some day.

My trip taught me something which I learnt just last night. Last night before I slept, I remembered that yesterday was the day I reached Sweden a year ago. I felt this sudden gush of sadness running inside me. I don't know why but I just felt sad. Perhaps it's the memory, perhaps it's something else.
And that something else is what I called:

Taste of freedom.

In that one week where I was in Norway, I have never felt so much freedom in my life. Imagine this. Two people travelling in a country they didn't know. No one bothering, only the map could help. I felt so much freedom and so much thrill. It is really an amazing feeling. No knowing where to go and taking the risk just to go to places we want to see.

From the trip I learnt. I learnt that one should not waste the taste of freedom. Freedom to me is one of the most valuable things in life that one could posess. Of course, health is above all else. But freedom is powerful. It's more powerful than money, it's more powerful that happiness. For without freedom, you may not get all this things.

Sigh I'm really emo right now. Because I am really sad and despaired to know what lies ahead of me. A 10 day holiday with reports and projects accompanying me. I hope and I wish that soon. Another of that dream holiday would come to me.

And as I said in my Sweden trip post last year.

I promise I would return to this country once more.

It's over :D

Lights off! I'm really tired
Photography by Yours Truly
Taken by my 50mm hehe

Alrighty! MST is over so time ro unwind, relax and chill. Chill out, de-stress and everything haha. And thanks to my awesome class DBS 1A02 I got everything I need today! Cause we (well most) went to Sentosa to have tons of fun. Love it hehe.

So after our Maths paper we went to Harbour Front. Had a nice lunch together at the sky park and then we headed to the beach! Played some games there and took lots of pictures. Retarded ones, funny ones, great ones and more haha. But I had fun! Was their paparazzi for the day haha.

Vivan, Michelle, Bei Xi and Nivedha went home while the rest went to Vivo Sky Park to eat again. It's by the view of the sea! So it was great. And we talked a lot. I realised how much we (our generation) have all grown up now :)

Anyway we headed home after that. My bus took such a long time to arrive.. Reached home at 1030. Whew.

The MSTs for this week was alright I think. I would like to thank Candy and wei ping for spending our time studying together! totally loved it. Our hard work pays yeah. Hope we can see it in our results :D

Righto, time to go and have a great rest. See ya!

Oh dear, I just realised World Cup has started an hour ago

MST!

I need a break. A good long one!
Lomography by Yours Truly
Lovely sunrise at ECP

Right, this is my 8th week of poly life and it's the week known as the week before the term holiday starts, also know as the... MST week! Well MST is obviously the mid-semester test haha. So well, don't think I'll be blogging for the rest of the week till MST is over. I think.

I felt so disappointed with myself. I could have used the whole day to study and somehow somewhat... I started studying like 3 hours ago. Studied for about an hour, watched TV, studied again and then I decided to stop. Well I hope I'll score well in tomorrow's Immunology test.

Anyway, I promise that I'm going to study tonight. MUST.

And I don't think I have to repeat the phrase "It's been such a long time since I blogged" cause you know the answer. So well yesterday I went to study with Weiping and Candy's house! And it was so nice of Candy's parents to cook dinner for us :D Thank you again! And it's kind of rare to find fathers who cook, and cook well!

After studying, we went to Lot 1 to do shopping. Basically it's supposed to be a de-stressing trip but I ended up being tired haha. Oh well, it's still fun anyway. And I finally bought a belt... Cause my pants keep on dropping.

Well but I felt really tired at the end of the day... But I felt accomplished too cause I did quite a lot of things for my immunology. Superb or what hehe. After I reached home, I just bathed, facebook-ed and watched TV and sleep!

Alrighty I think that's all for today and yesterday, now I wanna study again and tidy up my room. My sis is coming back from Indo and she asked me to tidy the room cause supposedly, her friend is coming so yeah. Alrighty see you!

MST! I shall love you! (OMG I sounded really nuts)

Stressed

Take me to paradise please
Photography by Yours Truly
I really love this shot of sunrise!

Well, right about a few hours ago. Right at that particular moment, I was feeling EXTREMELY stressed. I mean really, stressed. It feels like my head is going to explode at any time. Perhaps Wei Ping is right, I'm having information overload so yeah. Oh well, MST is MST. Exams, yeah, stress.

Been staying back for the past three days to study together with Wei Ping, Candy, Syazwani, Lizzie and Darren. Today I stayed back with Wei Ping and Lizzie only though. And I had dinner then and yup home sweet home.

I realised studying together is really fun. Not only that you won't feel lonely, but you will also feel more "well-rounded" cause you have friends to accompany you and they can just bombard you with questions. So fun sometimes haha.

MST is next week and I can really really feel the stress and heat approaching me. I don't understand how and why people say that poly life is slack. Seriously? Hello. Try it before you say. Okay it might be less stressful as JC life but it is NOT SLACK. Don't think we only have presentations and nothing. We have reports and stuff.

Oh well... We live in a stereotyped world, what else can we do?

But well I have to try to get relax and try my hair down sometimes. Studying 24/7 won't do anything good. So I decided to chill out before I start studying again tonight.. At least I have some time to catch my breath.

Alrighty, feel much better after blogging, accompanied with music by Corrine May! Who is now my favourite singer. She rocks. Her lyrics are simple yet impactful so I love it. Okay, see ya and don't get too stressed people! (For poly and those JC students who have MYE after June hols)

Stress, must be like your best friend.

Mug at Moberly

Love the texture of the sculpture

Oh well I just finished studying with some peeps from 1A02 at Mug@Moberly haha. First time studying here, I think it's not a bad place to study... When it's not crowded. Well currently quite a lot of people are here studying (or some not studying), so somehow it's a bit noisy. I think an mp3 player perfects the studying formula.

Anyway it's been a long time since I blogged, been busy with studying and such. MST next week! How can we not panic right. So everyone has been studying hard now. And I wanna catch up with them hoho. So far I'm afraid of Biochem and Immunology... Hope can ace them.

And I realised many classes are cancelled this week, I guess due to the fact that MST is next week so yeah, more time for studying. And I don't even have a class on Thursday cause the Biochem lesson is shifted to tomorrow. Yay.

Well... Life has been busy. Did not expect poly life to be thiiiiis busy. During my O Level days I still managed to spend sometime of my day to blog but these days, I just can't seem to find the time. Oh well I hope I can really continue blogging. Is till have my dream of keeping this blog till the end of time heh heh.

Okay that's all for today. Going for maths soon, with only 3 people! Haha. See you people then!

I need to manage my time as well as possible :)
